Anamarija Marinovic con Gatologia: Antologia multilingue e interdisciplinar sobre gatos que marcaram as culturas do mundo (Portuguese Edition)

Initially conceived as a short work within the International Conference Portugal in the Time of Fialho de Almeida, this anthology was supposed to cover only the cats represented in Literature. Curiosity and interest led our research to very different areas: science, folk tradition, superstition, language, cinema, theatre, cartoon, painting, comics, making this book an interdisciplinary, intercultural and multilingual project. The languages represented in the Gatologia are: Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, Romanian, Russian and Serbian, drawing at- tention to the diversity of views and ideas about the feline theme. Yeats, Hemingway, Baudelaire, Gunter Grass, Nuno Judice, Alberto Moravia, Vasco Graça Moura, Mia Couto, Jorge Amado Lope de Vega, Pablo Neruda TS Eliot, Tennessee Williams, Fialho de Almeida, Duško Radović, Frida Kahlo, Paul Klee, Walt Disney, are just some of the names who created memorable works inspired by the cats, while Garfield, Reverend Boniface, Tom, Silvestre and Hello Kitty represent a sample of distinguished cats that amused taught or captured the attention of the public.
